Overview:
Earlier in May, Jaiswal had emailed about his decision to withdraw his application.
Yashasvi Jaiswal surprised everyone when he decided to leave the Mumbai domestic team to play for Goa. In April, he submitted an application to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) requesting that the officials give him a No Objection Certificate (NOC). After a month, he took a U-turn and told the association that he is available to represent Mumbai.
MCA president Ajinkya Naik revealed that Jaiswal agreed to stay back after talking to Rohit Sharma.
“Rohit asked Yashasvi to continue playing for Mumbai. Rohit told him that there is a lot of pride in representing Mumbai, which has won the Ranji Trophy 42 times. Rohit also reminded Jaiswal that he started playing for India because of Mumbai cricket,” Naik told Mumbai Mirror.
“After discussing with Rohit and other greats of Mumbai cricket, he sent an email to us requesting to withdraw his NOC. We agreed,” he added.

“I request you to conisder my request in withdrawing the NOC given to me. I didn’t submit it to the BCCI or the Goa Cricket Association. I request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai from next season,” he wrote.
