England batter Harry Brook had blamed the smog for his team’s failure in the first T20I against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The batter mentioned that he and other players were not able to pick the ball from the hands of the spinners, leading to their dismissals.
“Varun Chakravarthy is a good bowler, but we couldn’t pick the Indian spinners because of the poor visibility due to smog. I am hoping to see better conditions in Chennai,” he said after the series opener.
Ravi Shastri didn’t leave a chance to troll him in the second game of the five-T20I series. “I hope he sees the ball over here visibility is pretty much better in Chennai,” he said.
Harsha Bhogle didn’t leave a chance after Phil Salt was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh for the second time in a row. “I hope Phil Salt saw the ball on both the occassions,” he said.
Former England player Nick Knight was left speechless with their comments on Brook. “I knew this would go on for some time. I would hear it till the third game of the contest,” he said.
