Usha Vance Stuns in Custom Oscar de la Renta at Vice Presidential Dinner – Elegance with a Dash of Glam

US Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, recently hosted a distinguished dinner at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. The event, held ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, served as a key gathering for Trump’s incoming cabinet members and other esteemed guests. All eyes were on Usha Vance, the soon-to-be second lady, who captivated attendees in a custom Oscar de la Renta ensemble, exuding sophistication and grace.

Who is Usha Vance?

Usha Chilukuri Vance, an accomplished lawyer and the daughter of Indian immigrants, is poised to make history as the first non-white second lady of the United States. Born and raised in suburban San Diego, California, Usha’s family roots trace back to Vadluru, a village in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Her family relocated to the US over five decades ago, but their connection to their homeland remains strong.

The Chilukuri family has made significant contributions to their native village, donating land for the construction of temples dedicated to Sai Baba, Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, and Goddess Bala Seeta—sacred spaces built for the community’s well-being. Although Usha has yet to visit Vadluru, her father, Chilukuri Radhakrishnan, made a trip to the village three years ago to oversee the upkeep of these temples and maintain ties with their heritage.

As she prepares to take on her new role on the national stage, Usha Vance continues to inspire with her impressive legal career, strong cultural roots, and poised public presence.
