The two uncapped Indians, Ashutosh Sharma (31 off 17 balls) and Shashank Singh (61 off 29 balls) led the Punjab Kings to a win over the Gujarat Titans. Punjab was out of the contest at one stage, but Ashutosh and Shashank played stunning innings to close the game in their team’s favor by three wickets.
Chasing 200 runs, Punjab lost wickets at regular intervals, but the unknown players struck fours and sixes to register one of the most memorable comeback wins.
Earlier, Shubman Gill’s 89-n-out took the Titans to 199/4 in 20 overs. With this win, Punjab has accumulated 4 points.
