Suryakumar Yadav enjoys Rohit-Rinku’s record partnership just 20 minutes post-surgery

T20 star, Suryakumar Yadav, recently underwent sports hernia surgery but didn’t let that keep him away from the action. Shortly after his surgery, the batsman was all smiles as he watched his captain, Rohit Sharma, and teammate Rinku Singh forge a record-breaking partnership during the third T20I against Afghanistan in Bengaluru.

Just 20 minutes after surgery, Suryakumar Yadav glued himself to the screen, swiftly catching up with the match.

The Mumbai Indians will feel the absence of Yadav in the upcoming IPL, considering his crucial role in India’s T20I batting lineup and his position as the top-ranked batter in the format. However, optimistic reports are suggesting that the batter may return in time for the IPL.

The hope is not only for a speedy recovery for the Mumbai Indians but also for the national team, with an eye on the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America. Fans and team management alike are eager to see Yadav back in action and fully fit.

In the earlier T20I series against South Africa, Suryakumar Yadav sustained an ankle injury during the final match at the New Wanderers Stadium, necessitating surgical intervention. Despite the setback, the batter boasts an impressive T20I record, accumulating over 2000 runs in 57 innings at an average of 45.55 and a strike rate of 171.55.
