South African players break down after losing the U19 World Cup semi-final; India skipper consoles them

South Africa have a habit of losing the knockouts in cricket. A similar story unfolded in the semi-final of the ICC U19 World Cup when they lost to India by 2 wickets. India have qualified for the fifth consecutive final and the ninth one overall.

Meanwhile, South African cricketers were seen crying after the heartbreaking moment. Captain Uday Saharan, who played a match-winning knock, consoled the rival players.

Tristan Luus and Nqobani Mokoena were lying on the ground while others were shedding tears. Kwena Maphaka, who is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament, was trying to console his teammates.

India captain Saharan hugged his South African counterpart, Juan James. South Africa scored 244 and put India on the back foot by taking four early wickets.

Adarsh Singh, Musheer Khan, Arshin Kulkarni, and Moliya were back in the dressing room with just 32 runs on the board.

Saharan and Sachin Dhas stitched a vital partnership to bail India out of the tricky situation.

Dhas was dismissed after scoring a well-compiled 96 runs. India lost more wickets, including captain Saharan, but crossed the line with Raj Limbani hitting the winning four.
