“Sanju Samson will have to work on his technique”: Ambati Rayudu warns wicket-keeper batter after third consecutive failure against England

Sanju Samson has once again started a streak of failures in his career. When he hit three hundreds in seven T20I innings, it was believed that the right-handed batter was finally hitting the peak and justifying his talent. However, all the hopes and the trust have been dashed with three below-par scores against England.

For the reason best known to him, he is moving a lot in the crease, and the Jofra Archer has cramped for room, resulting in his downfall. Samson hasn’t been able to handle the pace of Archer, and the Englishman is enjoying success against his Rajasthan Royals captain.

In the third T20I, he managed just 3 runs off 6 balls. He moved to the leg side to hit Jofra for a six but was caught by Adil Rashid. Ambati Rayudu identified the technical flaw in Samon’s technique.

“Sanju Samson will have to work on his technique. You can’t move towards the leg side and play a pull shot. You are giving yourself a room and going for a pull shot. He should be playing a cut shot, as there is no possibility of the pull shot coming through when you move in the crease,” Ambati Rayudu said on Star Sports.
