“Sad, wrong decision’: Virender Sehwag gives important suggestion to Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant

Former India player Virender Sehwag has once again made an important suggestion to Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant, who has scored just 128 runs from 11 innings in the IPL 2025. The INR 27 crore flop is under the scanner for his failures with the bat. It could also lead to his removal from the Indian team across formats.

The left-handed batter had a miserable Test series in Australia and was benched in India’s successful ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. With an ordinary outing in the 18th season of the cash-rich league, the selectors could look at someone else for the upcoming tour of England.

Virender Sehwag, who was a part of the Delhi state team and Delhi Capitals, pretty much like Pant, wants the struggling batter to talk to someone who is related to cricket. Viru feels that a positive and constructive conversation can help him come out of a rough patch.

“He should talk to someone close to him. Pant should tell him that he is struggling and is facing a problem. He is looking sad, and we can make up for his face. He is not like that as a person. Pant is making wrong decisions as a captain and is thinking too much. Rahul Dravid once told me that I should watch my videos to return to form,” Virender Sehwag said.
