National Film Award winner to play Sourav Ganguly in biopic: Report

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, a National Film Award winner, will play Sourav Ganguly in a biopic.

Ayushmann, who is a left-hander, will be trained for months before shoot starts. The shooting is likely to begin from the third or fourth quarter of 2024.

As per peepingmoon.com, Vikramaditya Motwane has been brought on board as a director. He was associated with Udaan and Lootera.

“Producers Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg have signed Ayushmann Khurrana and Vikramaditya Motwane.”

Ayushmann has worked in Vicky Donor, Andhadhun and several other hit movies.

Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly was a part of 113 Tests and 311 ODIs, amassing 18,433 runs at an average of 41.41, including 38 hundreds and 106 fifties.

The Prince of Kolkata is the fourth-highest run-scorer for India, after Sachin Tendulkar (34,357), Virat Kohli (26,704*), and Rahul Dravid (24,064).
