The topless version of the Maserati GranTurismo will also be offered with a fully electric powertrain

Maserati has finally unveiled the new GranCabrio, which is the drop-top version of the GranTurismo. The 2+2 convertible grand tourer is initially available with the Nettuno V6 powertrain in the Trofeo trim, but the lineup will soon expand with the addition of the fully electric Folgore.
One can say that the Maserati GranCabrio looks sexier compared to the closed-roof GranTurismo sibling thanks to its topless nature. The highlight is the fabric roof that can be electronically reclined in 14 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). The pictured example combines a dark blue hue with a striking red upholstery for the cabin. Being the Trofeo spec, it comes with carbon fiber garnish and a set of multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in black.
Under the hood lies the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine that produces 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 650 Nm (479.4 lb-ft) of torque in its most powerful guise. The mill is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels.
