However, Jaiswal failed to get going in the third Test and registered low scores of 13 and 0.
Former India player Robin Uthappa said that Jaiswal looked confused. “Yashasvi Jaiswal was not comfortable. The first ball he played showed that he was not at his best. He couldn’t decide whether to play the ball or leave it. It was not a good start and the pattern continued throughout the over. Otherwise he is very decisive with his shot selection. He was confused. The target was just above 190,” Uthappa said.
He also spoke about Karun Nair’s dismissal. “He didn’t wantched the delivery he left. He made the decision as the ball came close to him. The dube was batting well before the mistake,” he added.
Former Sri Lanka opener Kumar Sangakkara didn’t like Jaiswal’s approach during the second innings. He was caught after edging a Jofra Archer delivery. He returned without troubling the scorers.
“He didn’t looked comfortable in the first over he faced. He didn’t watch the ball and looked jaded.”
