Royal Challengers Bengaluru don’t know how to win matches against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. The rivalry has been one-sided in the last few seasons, with KKR winning all the games against the Bengaluru-based franchise. The latest clash was another easy outing for the two-time champions.
Chasing 183 runs on a flat pitch and dew conditions, Shreyas Iyer’s team completed the task in 16.5 overs with 7 wickets in hand.
Sunil Narine (47) and Phil Salt (30) added 86 runs for the opening wicket in 6.3 overs. The remaining task was completed by Venkatesh Iter, who hit a fifty. RCB were sloppy in the field and dropped several catches.
Earlier, Virat Kohli’s 83 not out took the team’s total to 182/6. KKR have won two matches and are unbeaten in IPL 2024. On the other hand, RCB have lost two while winning just 1.
