Rajasthan Royals’ 10 crore signing ruled out of IPL 2024

Rajasthan Royals are one of the favourites in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They will be led by Sanju Samson, who has been associated with the 2008 champions for a long time. RR have shown glimpses of their talent in the last few editions but the players have faltered in important matches. They made it to the final in 2022 but lost to Gujarat Titans.

The Royals have been dealt a major blow as their star pacer Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of IPL 2024.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed that Krishan recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. He is currently under the observation of the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He will not take part in the upcoming season. Prasidh hasn’t started his rehabilitation.

He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 10 crore in IPL 2022 and took 19 wickets. Rajasthan were the runners-up. The right-arm fast bowler missed IPL 2023 due to an injury and now he has been ruled out of the new season as well. He was replaced by Sandeep Sharma last season but RR haven’t named any replacement for IPL 2024.

The apex body also confirmed that Rishabh Pant has passed the necessary tests and is fit to play for Delhi Capitals. He missed the league last year due to a fatal car accident.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans’ star pacer and the Purple Cap winner in 2023, Mohammed Shami is out of the upcoming season. He recently underwent surgery to fix his ankle issue.
