Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians have reached the 14-point mark and are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs in IPL 2025. RCB have played 10 matches while MI’s tally stands at 11. Bengaluru have been performing since the start of the season, and after some hiccups at home, they managed to resolve this concern as well. On the other hand, Mumbai had another slow and concerning start to their campaign, but is now on a six-match winning streak.
Almost all their players have returned to form, and they are winning one-sided games. They have been ruthless in recent times, and there is hardly any franchise that looks like challenging them in the remaining league matches.
Rajasthan Royals were the latest franchise to face a humiliating defeat at the hands of the five-time champions. Chasing 218 runs on a batting-friendly wicket, they were bowled out for 117, giving a big win to the Hardik Pandya-led team. Harbhajan Singh lauded the team for their clinical performances.
“There are 11 match-winners in their playing XI. They are the five-time champions and bring top-class players to the team. After three ordinary seasons, Mumbai have returned to winning ways after working out on their weaknesses,” he said.

Pragyan Ojha was pleased with Mumbai’s display against the Riyan Parag-led team. He highlighted the performance of the bowlers. “Mumbai Indians don’t allow the rivals to breathe when they are in form. Other franchises don’t want to play against them. All the bowlers took a wicket in their first over, and that shows the confidence of the side,” he said.
