Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the five-time IPL champions, will be determined to improve their performance in the 18th season. They finished fifth in 2024 and missed the playoffs. In IPL 2025, the Yellow Army will look to battle for the championship under captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Significantly, Chennai Super Kings retained Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Matheesha Pathirana before the mega-auction.
They also made big purchases in the auction, bringing back Ravichandran Ashwin, adding Noor Ahmad and re-signing Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra.
The team will start their IPL 2025 campaign against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on March 23 at CSK’s home ground, M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Last season, CSK won seven matches and lost seven. The team will aim for its sixth IPL title, and fans are excited to see how it performs in the new season.
