Sachin Tendulkar criticizes India’s Test series defeat against New Zealand, urging action

Team India’s Test series defeat against New Zealand has disturbed Sachin Tendulkar and has urged the authorities to take action. The Men in Blue went down by 25 runs while chasing 147 runs in third and final Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Ajaz Patel took 11 wickets in the contest and restricted the Rohit Sharma-led team to 263 & 121 across both innings.

Ajaz dismissed five batters in the first essay and six rival players in the second innings. It was India’s first Test series whitewash involving three games.

The series started with an eight-wicket thumping in Bengaluru. The next game saw another mediocre effort and India conceded the Pune Test by 113 runs.

“Losing 3-0 at home is a tough pill to swallow, and it calls for introspection. Was it lack of preparation, was it poor shot selection, or was it lack of match practice?

“@ShubmanGill showed resilience in the first innings, and @RishabhPant17 was brilliant in both innings— his footwork made a challenging surface look like a different one altogether. He was simply superb.

“Full credit to New Zealand for their consistent performance throughout the series. Winning 3-0 in India is as good a result as it can get,” Sachin Tendulkar wrote on X.

India will now take on Australia in the five-Test series. The sub-continent team is unbeaten in the previous four Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
