After Mohammed Shami, another Indian pacer suffers fresh injury concern ahead of New Zealand Test series

India will face New Zealand in the three-match Test series, starting on November 16 in Bengaluru. There were reports that Mohammed Shami would return to the side after a year. Still, the veteran pacer was not named in the squad after suffering from an injury issue at the National Cricket Academy.

Now, another pacer on the team is down with injury concerns ahead of the first Test match against the Kiwis.

There is no official update on why Prasidh Krishna didn’t take the field during Day 3 of the Ranji Trophy match.

According to Sportstar, the 28-year-old has had some discomfort while running at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.

Prasidh Krishna is one of the highly rated pacers by the team management and will be one of the contenders to play in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Hence, it could be a precautionary move to give him rest for a day from the contest.

Prasidh Krishna is one of the traveling reserves for the Test series against New Zealand.
